Make sure your voice is heard in the workplace.
Unite, the union for apprentices wants to hear from you. ’What’s a union?’ you might be asking… Well, trade unions help workers. Unite makes sure workers are safe and treated fairly by their employers and together with workers we campaign to improve life at work. As an apprentice new to your industry and the world of work, you perhaps more than anyone else need a trade union to help you understand your rights in the workplace. Think about who has the power in your workplace? On your own it can be difficult making your boss listen to you. To support you it makes sense to have a powerful organisation helping you. Unite is your trade union and we offer advice, help and support when you need it.
Unite works to ensure that your apprenticeship is high quality and that you are properly supported while you are doing it. Unite negotiates with employers, making sure you get time off to study or train, and ensuring that you receive impartial information, advice and guidance, and that you are supported by a mentor.
Unite wishes you a long and successful career and we are here to help you achieve this. Please contact us should you have any questions.
